Grounding is the most important lesson Empaths, Psychics, Clairvoyants, or even Ordinary People can learn.
Grounding is a very powerful and effective means of releasing negative energy back into Mother Earth. Grounding can also release other types of negative energy such as pain, stress, anxiety, worries, etc. Grounding helps us to remain focused and centered – to keep our spiritual energy from being scattered. Someone who is not properly Grounded may appear forgetful, ‘scatter-brained’, nervous, ‘hyper’. No one will really enjoy the company of someone is not properly Grounded.
This Grounding can fluctuate from moment to moment depending on the circumstances. When we experience stress, pain, or other extreme emotions, our energy can go flying – looking for a happier home. The better a person can become at Grounding, the easier it will be for that person to cope with stressful situations.
The easiest way to learn to Ground is through the use of a Grounding Cord. Envision a rope, a pillar of light, a tree root, a string of flowers or anything you feel most comfortable with. When visualizing your Grounding Cord, try to see it in as much detail as possible. And always check that one end is securely attached to you and the other end is at the center of the earth. If at any time you notice the cord is damaged or you are uncomfortable with it, destroy the cord and create a new cord. Preferably one that is slightly different from the previous one. The cause of the damage or dissatisfaction is due to pollution from the energies which you are releasing or even from the influence of energies which are trying to control you. This Grounding Cord will extend from you into Mother Earth. All the way to the center core of molten rock. When the energy you are releasing reaches the Earth’s core, the energy will be dispersed and reabsorbed by the Earth energy. The Grounding Cord can connect to any part of your body but to be most effective it should emanate from your energy center or the first chakra, which is located at the base of your spine. (Knowing a little bit about Chakras will help a person develop their Empathic abilities.)
It is best to practice Grounding while meditating, alone and in a quiet place. Once you have become comfortable at it, then you may begin to try Grounding around other people or in new locations.
